Home Sweet Home

And we're back in the car.....driving again!  It's not our preferred method of travel, but it is the most affordable method.  We headed to Milwaukee for the weekend for some quality time with our friends and family.  My weekend turned into a very easy-going-laid-back weekend.  It was remarkable!!!

Friday's driving dragged on and on through the endless burnt green grass fields of western Wisconsin.  We drove for most of the Olympic opening ceremony, but thankfully my parents have DVR.  Not a minute was missed of the Opening Ceremony.  My favorite - June and Frankie - great video montage and tribute to English bands!! It would make for a really, really, really good playlist.  Hm...next car trip may have to have an English theme?

Saturday morning my brother and I had a date with destiny...maybe that's an exaggeration.  We did get out on the tennis courts for some friendly competition (There is no such thing as friendly competition in my family.  See Fourth of July post).  I am a below average tennis player to his better than average, practice all the time, tennis summer league ability.  Needless to say, he became "bored" with playing against me.  Ta-Da....My dad showed up to "teach us a thing or two".  The game is now balanced....me and my dad versus my brother.  It's always better to be on the winning team!  After a long deuce/advantage in/advantage out game six, my dad decided to call it a day and became more of a spectator while we played on for another match.  My dad's version of a spectator is constantly coaching and helping me to improve my game.  It helped - a lot, but I felt like a 10 year old girl in every sport....Yes, I was a coach's daughter.

For the rest of Saturday we hit up pool side to bake in the sun.  Saturday night, I tried my hand at my first shrimp boil  ---- It was a total SUCCESS!!  I had some harsh critiques too.  Dinner was served to my aunt, two cousins, and my brother and sister.  Let's just say honesty reigns with this group, and I would have been the first to know if dinner sucked.  Thankfully, I passed the test, and everyone enjoyed their dinner.  The corn, apparently, had the most flavor.  I thought the peppers picked up more of the spice, but I also ate most of the peppers.  My aunt and I may have enjoyed it more than everyone else with a crisp white wine pairing.  We also enjoyed some of the best dessert Wisconsin has to offer: butter pecan from Kopp's.  They do deliver outside of Wisconsin, but it's a 7 quart minimum so I've refrained from doing it, for now at least.

Sunday was a little bit less exciting since we were on the road by 2:00 pm.  I did fit in some quality time with my parents for a nice, leisurely walk around the park near our house in the morning.  For those from a large family like me, you will understand how it is very important to have time with your parents' undivided attention.

And sadly, Sunday ended on a low note since my soccer team lost in the championship again....just like last season.  It was disappointing, but it was still good to be out there running around and getting exercise (especially after having Kopp's ice cream this weekend).

Head Above the Rest

Last August I had a concussion from playing soccer.  It was a strong blow to the back of my head by a soccer ball at close range that did me in.  I went to the sports medicine urgent clinic, Tria Orthopedic, (they are the best) the following morning for the diagnosis.  I failed miserably at the standardized concussion test.

The test consists of memory recall and balance.  1. I am a clumsy person, so I'll never have full ability when it comes to balance.  2. This happened August 29th and when prompted with the question, "What month is it" I replied, "July, no September"...wrong, wrong, wrong.  For the balance testing, I was asked to raise one foot off the ground (minimal distance - few inches) and close my eyes.  I felt like I was in free fall and couldn't do it.

Adam - who drove me to the appointment - looked on in the doctor's office just horrified by the incident.  There are several issues with having a concussion:

1. You can't drive
2. You can't read or watch t.v. or be on the computer - you're suppose to reduce all stimuli as much as possible (Just sit has never suited me well)
3. No transportation - no work.
4. Your memory and speech and visual ability are all impaired.

After two days out of work, I attempted to drive to work (40-45 minute drive on the highway), which was a disaster.  No accidents, but I felt sick and shouldn't have driven.  A strong sense of vertigo and no response time was very foolish to even think I could have attempted to drive.  After meeting with HR - a short explanation of my condition and ability to work - I spent another hour or so trying to work (the company I was with accommodated to my condition by letting me sick in a dimly light room to help with our marketing promo rather than sitting by a computer all day) before throwing in the towel.  I was in and out of the office temporarily for most of the month of September.

The problem with an injury like a concussion is that there are no visible signs of being sick or having an issue.  My concussion has left residual effects - I now get migraines.  They were almost monthly or ever two weeks.  Now they are more spaced out - every couple of months.   The issue is the painfulness has increased and a migraine just isn't a headache.  It has all sorts of other symptoms - mine includes: loss of vision, blurred vision, vertigo, lack of balance, loss of depth perception, and delay in word queues.  Writing or typing something during a migraine is hilarious because there are a million typos or I cannot spell.  Any guess what part of my brain is most effected?  Here's some help from the head injury website.

The purpose for this post is to explain why I had nothing to write about this week, since at about 3:00 am Tuesday morning I've been on migraine lock down!  Meaning - listening to the t.v. while burying my head under the pillow or taking Advil PM to both rest my brain and try to reduce the headache symptoms.  All the while, trying to stay hydrated and trying to supplement the migraine symptoms with caffeine.  Funniest moment - missing the entrance to the bathroom and smacking straight into a wall.  I have now learned to walk with my hands out in front of me.

Sorry for the scientific and less than exciting post.  I'm doing much better. I'll be home this weekend in Milwaukee for a little R&R, and I'm sure that'll be just what I need.

Party---Party----Party!!!

First of all, thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone for celebrating the weekend with me celebrating my birthday!!!!   This weekend was so much fun, and I know everyone put in a lot of effort to make it happen.

I took the day off Friday to take some leisurely time for myself.  It was a great treat! Katie and I stopped by the Home Sweet Home Food Truck for lunch at the Capital Building.  We both ordered their fish tacos; it was a light lunch packed with a ton of flavor!  Their dressing with lime juice and white balsamic vinegar was sweet and savory - delicious!!!

Friday night we stopped by a "townie/biker bar" as Katie put it - Tavern on Avenue.  GREAT FISH FRY - oily, greasy, and loads of mayonnaise in their tartar sauce.  The perfect pre-Saturday day drinking meal.  Katie and Ryan went to a cooking class earlier in the week, so Katie taught us that if you put lemon on your deep fried fish it'll help to prevent that unsettling feeling in your stomach.  It make sense if you think about it - acid coating fat molecules (yes, I am a nerd).  We all enjoyed a few rounds of beer - I had the Summit Summer Ale that is DELICIOUS! (a kloshe style beer).  I learned on Saturday, Summit Brewery sold their last kegs last week, and the brewery is completely out.  Get it while it lasts I suppose... until, hopefully, next summer!

Saturday was when the real party started.  A group of 6 of us hit up the Highland Fest Beer Dabbler in Saint Paul.  It's a great festival with a large beer garden of 60 or so microbreweries to sample while enjoying the sunshine!!! Adam and I went together last year and had a great time, but it was so much fun this year to have a large group of people to loiter around the grounds with.

It was such a fun group - a special thanks to Katie, Ryan, Pat, Courtney and Adam for hanging out on Saturday and for the friendly competition in a game of Hammer Slagen - It took a lot of concentration considering I have ZERO upper body strength.
Adam came away victorious crushing the nail on his fourth turn.  It was a nail biting finish as Ryan has less than a millimeter to go from beating us all one round earlier!  All in all, it was a good showing of sportsmanship!!

We finished off the night at dinner with Pat, Courtney, and Max at Psycho Susie's for pizza.  Courtney was able to capture the night in this rare but AWESOME picture of Adam and I.  Notice - no lazy eyes, both looking at the camera, both smiling and a tropical theme in the background---perfect!

On Sunday, Adam took over as master chef with a little help from Cupcake and Sweets Bakeshop for dessert.  We had a pretty lazy day considering I had to work, but I came home to the roaring flames of the grill, and the fragrant aroma of lamb chops and asparagus.  He really does know me all too well!!!

I am all too proud of my food photography.  Doesn't that look delicious - the meat was perfect and the asparagus was crisp and seasoned well.  For dessert: French macarons and four cupcakes from Cupcake -- I still have a few (3) cupcakes left.

Thank you so much for a great weekend to everyone!!!

P.S. Remember the scarf I blogged out last Thursday.  Courtney and Pat surprised me with it for my birthday - THANK YOU! I can't wait to wear it!

All Things Fashionable

This week was rather low key - I didn't have soccer Monday or Wednesday - so what I should  have done is exercised on my own (aka not sit on the couch glued to Bravo).  However, I did spend a considerable amount of time online shopping!  I have a few gifts to buy over the next few weeks, and I needed to put some thought into it...if that also means I found a few things for myself, so be it.

Right now I'm obsessed with Parc Boutique in Minneapolis.  I stopped in a few weeks ago killing time before sushi with my friend Dana at Masu (if you haven't been you MUST go), and I haven't been able to resist stalking their website for new one-of-a-kind looks.  They have everything from the wear to work, day-casual wear, to fun little party dresses and accessories galore!!!

I'm kinda obsessed with scarves, but only have a few that I love to wear with just about everything from mid-September through May.  Here are my three favorite finds as of late...

Anya Shorts $55
Paltrow Dress $94.00
Purple Aztec Scarf $20

As I was choosing my favorites from the site for this week's post, I stumbled upon their new arrivals -- fantastic tops for fall.  Think of the layering and accessories to go with the soft cotton gray shirt or black and white baseball tee.  I may own something exactly like it already, but when it works; it works!

For the most part, I've stopped using Facebook as a place to keep tabs on friends/randoms from years ago that happen to post pictures or restaurant check-ins.  I've really focused my efforts on businesses using Facebook to keep myself up to date with the latest trends, sales, desserts, you name it.  I came across Ruche just this week, and like an addict, I immediately scoured their site for a new something! Now I haven't purchased anything yet, but I do have my eye on these beauties!       PINK LOAFERS, yes please!!  I'll keep you posted as I'm sure I'll be so moved to purchase these eventually. I have a few bigger purchases coming up in the next few months first, and anyways, it's too hot for closed toed shoes for at least 6 - 8 weeks.

Luxe No. 7
A girlfriend of mine is getting married in September which means I have at least 5 different outfits to pack/wear to different events.  Most of them I can pull something out of my closet, change it up with a belt/necklace/shoe into something new, but once in a while you need a new dress.  At least that's what I tell myself in order to have less buyer's remorse with my clothing purchase(s).

Here's my newest purchase/find at Luxe No. 7--- Yes Adam, I bought something, so now you can't be too disappointed since I told you ---- Navy Blue, Polka Dots, Sheer Top: no way I was going to pass this up.  Now I have the following events where this may be worn: Bridal shower, dinner for the couple in August, rehearsal dinner (yes, I'm in the wedding - we're very close), or Sunday brunch and gift opening.  So may options, I'm definitely going to need shoes, accessories (pearls?) - I cannot wait to strut my stuff in this gem!
Few things to note: I bought this online so I have to trust the website's fabric description, and I have to wait for it to arrive.  I'm sure I'll be equally excited when it arrives as I am now!!!

One more thing to note for those LBD coveted moments - here's my latest find! It's a fantastic black drop waist dress with a small back cutout from Dorothy Perkins.  I've started to build up quite a number of UK labels in my closest - Kate Middleton effect? Probably.

So these are my latest summer finds - I'm sure there will be many more posts on fashion as fall previews start to make it to the store floor in about 2 - 3 weeks.  Happy shopping!

Colorific!!

This weekend was no disappointment! Adam and I spent a reasonable amount of time outside and like with everything we do, we tried to find something new and different.  Friday night, we had your typical 7th grade date.  We went to see Spiderman! As far as comic book characters go, Spiderman is not my favorite.  However, this movie did not disappoint.  I mean really...any movie with Emma Stone is guaranteed to be amazing!

Saturday, we woke up with this idea that sitting by the pool just wasn't going to keep us amused for the day.  We decided 1. we still needed to be by water because the temperature was climbing to a balmy 90+ degrees and 2. it needed to be semi-active.  Problem solved: $20/kayak rental 45 minutes south of the Twin Cities in Canon Falls.  We spent the day out on the river enjoying the peacefulness that comes with no urban noise and even better, no cell phone, ipad, tv, or electronic device - period.  We did invest in a cheap waterproof disposable camera to capture the excitement.  Yes, the old school kind that you have to twist after each picture.

Kayaking did prompt us to recall a less than hilarious commercial that became HYSTERICAL to us as we paddled down the river over "rapids".  Check it out - AMEX Kayaking Commercial.

The river moved slowly pushing us down stream into shallow areas where "rapids" aka rocks with water passing over them projected us further/faster down stream.  Only once was I beached thinking that the water was not less an inch deep and that I could pass over it.  All and all a great day - we made out with some really great pictures (despite the limited technology) and a nice tan to add our to already bronzing skin!
SUNDAY morning was the highlight of the weekend.  THE COLOR RUN!!! Don't forget to take a look at their Facebook Page.   It was a great 5k with no timer, no real macho competition like I wrote about with the warrior dash, no obstacles - just colorful fun without colorful language, very family friendly.  Again with our waterproof camera in tow, we set out with Katie and Ryan for a very EARLY run....I am NOT a morning person.

It was a very informative morning though: 1. Starbucks doesn't sell bananas anymore, at least not at their Grand Ave location in Saint Paul, 2. Adam is very annoying and difficult to tolerate without coffee, 3. I am equally annoying to him, 4. Katie and Ryan find our mutual annoyance to be quick humorous, 5. The faster you drink a strong Starbucks latte the sooner I become more friendly #loveStarbucks!!

Here are our before pictures (remember with a camera designed in 1960 - no making sure it's a good picture until after they're "developed"):

During the race, I took this sweet action shot -->
Talk about corny running pose as we stomp our way through the first color zone: YELLOW!!! It was the only shot we took while on the course that turned out - there is no action or quick shutter speed to account for the running when using a disposable camera.  After the yellow color zone, we hit the pink, orange, and blue color zones.  The blue zone really used a generous amount of color, and left quick a stain on our skin.  (The run-off water in the shower after was predominately navy blue!)

After the race, we all gathered together for the Color Festival - it's where all the participants take their packet full of corn starch-like color dust and hurl it into the air for a volcano of color to erupt in the sky.

Around us was mostly pink and orange, but the view from behind the crowd was very technicolor-ed.  Unfortunately, we didn't snap a picture in time - we were probably winding the camera from another picture.  I hope you enjoy the group shots we took --- AFTER!!!

#Lebron

A little washed out but the color effect is really intense!
Here are a few pictures we took back at the car - must better lighting and camera.
Look at the mug!!!

Oh and no, I have not started to gray already that'd be the blue/purple color that is staining my hair.  Turns out today I still have some tints of pink streaked through my hair....highly professional at work!  Hopefully, it'll wash out in a day or two.

As you can tell, it was a really fun weekend!! This week is going to be very busy, so Thursdays post should be pretty great too!!!

Until then, Brit

Chicago (Part Two)

I may have been a little carried away with what I've committed to do this summer. Even after being trapped stuck in the car together for 6 hours on the way home from Chicago on Sunday, yesterday's trip to Target prompted Adam to say "I really enjoyed spending this time with you" --- sappy right?  Apparently, I need to focusing my attention on being more available in the next couple of months (I should mention he and I don't have a free weekend until October, normal right?)

And back to the real post....
Sunday was the epitome of an unplanned, leisurely morning. A rarity in my life, so we slowly strolled (like snails) from Starbucks (cannot live without it) to Millennium Park to drink our coffee.  After squatting next to some pigeons (the rats of the air) and enjoying the warm sunlight over the lake (oh, I should mention it was 8:00 am since neither of us knows what it is like to sleep in anymore), we downed our coffee only to realize nothing is open for brunch that early.

Good news, it was chance to watch Wimbledon!!! AND a even better chance to spot Duchess of  Cambridge and Pippa Middleton along with the Beckham's!!! Talk about a fashion-ista's dream team....after my ooo-ing and aaa-ing over the clothes, the Wimbledon whites, and the awesome match, we made our way off to brunch at Park Grill.

This egg sandwich was ah-maz-ing!!!  Sadly it wasn't what I ordered, so as I ate my less than exciting, but still delicious chopped salad.  The picture doesn't do this salad justice - it was lightly dressed with a lemon/citrus dressing, with large slices of hard boiled eggs and avocado.
Back to the egg sandwich: Made on an English muffin, the bottom slice was generously slathered with a bruschetta-like flavored sandwich spread.  Then add arugula and other leafy greens,  cheese, two sunny-side up eggs, and another English Muffin (not pictured).  This sandwich could really challenge the food at Cheeky Monkey, my favorite local dive for all things chili, sandwiches and salads in Saint Paul!

Check them out! Cheeky Monkey Deli

Now, the whole reason for our trip to Chicago was to see the Chicago Fire vs. LA Galaxy soccer game at Toyota Field.  It was a very, very, very nice gift from my parents for my birthday (it's coming up in a few weeks)!!!  The seats were unbelievable - Top Row of the section just north (5 yards or so) of the half line.  It was an unobstructed view of the whole field especially since most of the people sitting in the row in front of us were kids.  (YAHHH!!! for no 6'7" man with a large head issue!!!)

The fan support is awesome, and it makes seeing the game really exciting! It certainly reinforces my bucket list to see a soccer game in Europe! The waves of people and cheering throughout the game didn't lead to a victory, but it kept the fans on their toes and cheering loudly.  Of course there were the few there to see Beckman (sorry but he was suspended and flew to England)...who may have been a little disappointed at the start of the game.

I was particularly confused why Donovan didn't start or play any of the first half.  But that didn't stop me from enjoying the game - even Adam remarked about how I was "so into the game".  I've been to countless sporting events with him (football, basketball, baseball), but none of those really hold my attention for the entire game.  I find myself people watching or looking to see if the cheerleaders are able to smile through the whole game despite losing (...remember, we live in MN and MN sports teams aren't great like they are in WI).  By the second half Donovan finally made an appearance!!! I mean who can resist that receding hairline that we couldn't zoom in enough to show you....

Donovan's presence on the field lead to two more goals for LA Galaxy.  Thankfully I'm not a die hard fan for either team, so I was pleased with a competitive game.  The fact that there were a number of goals was just a bonus!!! Chicago Fire certainly held their own, though, and their defense and outside midfielders, particularly, were entertaining to watch.  All in all it was a great weekend!!! Now if only we could figure out how to shorten the drive home...that was brutal but WORTH IT!!!

Chicago (Part One)

12 hours in a car, 6 coffees, 4 McDonald's cheeseburgers and 2 days of quality time....now that's a GREAT weekend!!! We drove down from Saint Paul to Milwaukee Friday night to break up the trip and save us some $$$ on a hotel room.  Saturday, after some lingering around to catch up with our families, we set off for Chicago!!!  Just before lunch time we were catching glimpses of the windy city as we made our way through the Kennedy Expressway.

After checking into the Palmer House, Hilton hotel ---- JUST GORGEOUS------ we set out like tourists to eat, drink and enjoy the merriment of each other's company....or until one person was sick of the other.

First stop: Magnolia Bakery!!! for banana pudding and a rich chocolate cupcake.

The banana pudding recipe is to-die-for!  The first time I had Magnolia Bakery's banana pudding I was on vacation with my family in New York.  Low and behold tucked into the small corner bakery at Rockefeller Plaza is the glorious-ness that is, banana pudding.   That Christmas a Magnolia Bakery cookbook turned up under the tree just for me!!!  (Thanks mom Santa!)  It takes over 24 hours to make, so needless to say, the giant bowl of banana pudding is only made for special occasions, about once a year.

Next stop, a search for food with more substance....This took up through Millennium Park, past the poor man's yacht club (still too rich for me), and along the lakefront to Navy Pier.  By this point, we weren't hungry.  It was decided that given Adam's fear of heights we'd go on the Ferris wheel!!

I'm having a bad hair day (sorry about the finger in the foreground)

.

It was a remarkable view of the city, and over looking the water just tempted us enough that we decided it was worth it to take a water taxi over to the Shedd Aquarium just for the chance to get out on the water.  Don't worry, I snapped some great city views there too.  Despite the turbulence of the waves - the lake was quite choppy, I think I had some great shots of the shoreline.  The funniest part of the whole taxi/boat ride (that lasted about 10-15 minutes) was the employee on the boat who assists the captain with docking the boat and help you off is strapped in to one of those U shaped life preservers you wear around your neck.  While the rest of us are safe with them just at our feet....Thankfully water doesn't startle me, and I'm fairly confident I could tred water or swim if necessary.

After the boat ride, we were torn with the same predicament we always find ourselves in....It's 4:00 pm, do we go to dinner with those maybe a bit older than us or do we think "I'm-so-hungry" for the next 2 - 3 hours for a more socially acceptable dinner time?  We decided shopping was out of the question (I'm on a budget), it would take 6 - 7 hours for us to make our way through one of the museums, and we definitely had a cupcake and pudding for lunch.  We realized.....It was time to eat!!!

Just north of State and Wacker we reached the Public House - similar to Muddy Pig in Saint Paul, MN - really great food and an AWESOME selection of micro-brews on tap!  I liked the Goose Island Marisol while Adam couldn't resist the Dogfish Head on tap (which is not distributed in Minnesota).  We ordered up french fries (standard.....we're on vacation so it's-all-bets-off on eating healthy) which same our choice of a trio of sauces --- we choose: cheddar ale (we're from Wisconsin), smoked jalapeño aioli, and carolina bbq.  I MUST recreate the smoked jalapeño aioli....my personal favorite!  I'm sure I can find a start from an informative food blog or two!  We also ordered a Mediterranean grilled flat bread.  Public House Menu -- It's the next pizza I'm making once it cools down enough to turn on the oven again so September/October.  I'll keep you posted.

We enjoyed the beer selection so much we spent the evening at Public House before the leisurely walk back to our hotel.  We did manage to stop at Walgreen's to pick up a bottle of wine to finish off the night ....It's so nice to know the convenience of liquor is readily available in most all places outside of Minnesota (that's certainly the opinion of the German/Milwaukee native in me).

This is a longer than usual blog post, so look forward to day TWO of Chicago later this week!

USA! USA! USA!

Happy Fourth of July!!!! Again, I failed to take any pictures, but it was a rather low key holiday for me.  It is rather odd to not spend Fourth of July with my family in Milwaukee, so a lot of comparisons were made.  I did receive the most hilarious email for my family about how they spent their Fourth - Subject line read: "Thew family crushes water balloon competition"

Did I mention my family is hyper-competitive?  It's probably necessary information before you read this email.

In a display of total domination, the Thew family team of Luke and Dad took first prize in the all comers division of the water ballon toss at the Elm Grove 4th of July celebration.  The Junior Guild did try to give just about everyone a chance at a medal by having age divisions divided up by months, but at the end of the day Luke and Dad showed all of Elm Grove who can toss a water balloon over ten feet and still catch it.  Some participants were complaining of hot conditions and Mom was overheard saying "suck it up or just get out of the competition you wimp."  Seven year old J.Smith was next seen running crying to his mommy.  After the competition the winning duo were seen taking a victory photo and providing comments for the local paper.  As a victory celebration the winning competitors were seen splashing life guards in the pool.

Maybe it's only funny to me, but seriously intimidating a seven year old is up there with only-in-my-family type stories.

Corn Salad
Peace glazed chicken
Adam and I spent a rather low key Wednesday at the pool, but Tuesday night was the real celebration.  Of course the hostess of all hostesses, Katie, had us all over to her house for a delicious barbecue.  I had been salivating over the menu for a few days since all the recipes had been added to Pinterest earlier in the week.  Here's just a teaser of some of the food we had had.

Katie also threw together one of my favorite things to eat - chips and salad combining a trio of salsas including a homemade mango salsa, Salsa Verde, and one salsa with some real heat!  I offered to make my favorite portion of the meal --- dessert! I whipped up a batch of my ULTIMATE Chocolate Chip Cookies, which was a challenge given the 100+ degrees of our apartment.  (We don't have air conditioning; it's not bad unless you want to turn on the oven too....oops!)

In order to cool the cookies, I resorted to sticking the pan of cookies from the oven into the freezer to chill for a few minutes.  It was quite a success! The cookies were wayyy too oily and melting without cooling them; it would have been a disaster if I hadn't improvised.  To top it all off, we added vanilla custard and made them into ice cream sandwiches.  To my delight, they were very well received as satisfying chocolate-y goodness.

Here's the recipe:

1 1/2 Cup Butter Flavored Crisco
1 1/4 Cup Light Brown Sugar (firmly packed)
1 1/4 Cup Sugar
4 tbsp Milk
2 tbsp Vanilla Extract
---- Mix
2 Eggs
--- Mix
3.5 - 4 Cup Flour
1 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
2 tsp Salt
--- Mix
2 Cups Chocolate Chips
(Walnuts can be added too if preferred --- I left them out this time because I wasn't sure if there was a nut allergy for any of the guests)

Bake at 350 degrees for 8 - 10 minutes or until golden brown and enjoy!

Hope everyone had a great Fourth of July!!!! Did anyone see any great fireworks? I was SUPER warn out from being at the pool all day, and I didn't make it to see any this year :(
